As a family photographer, I am always so thrilled and flattered when a family books me for a second time. I was delighted to photograph this family from Kent again. The first time was a year ago for their outdoor newborn photoshoot in Surrey. Hasn't he grown?!
This time we met at one of the prettiest locations I use, the beautiful Foots Cray Meadows in Sidcup.
OUTDOOR FAMILY PHOTO SHOOT
The most common reason mums (and it is usually mums) book a outdoor family photoshoot with me is because they just want some nice photos of the whole family together.
They also really want some photos that they are actually in. Because it seems that in most families, just like in mine, it is mum who takes all the photos so all she has are a few rubbish selfies with the kids. For that reason, I always make sure to capture some sweet moments of mummy and her little ones.
But we never forget about daddy!
OUTDOOR CHILDREN'S PORTRAITS
I also capture portraits of the children, together and alone, and have lots of little tricks up my sleeve to get those natural non-cheesy smiles.
DOG PHOTOGRAPHY
We have a dog, a labradoodle called Bella, so I know that an outdoor family photoshoot won't feel like a family photoshoot without the pooch tagging along. So dogs are very welcome and you might find you get a few dog portraits too!
WHAT TO WEAR FOR A SPRING FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT
Once they've booked, most people tend to worry a bit about what to wear to their outdoor family photoshoot. Well worry not! I'll send you a custom session guide, tailored to the season, which is jam packed full of advice on what to wear for your family photos. You can also check out my <Pinterest board> for more inspiration on what you can wear for your Spring outdoor family photoshoot.
